Book Review: Shannon O’Connor ‘All of Me’

BOOK REVIEW

“Leave roses at my door so I never have to wonder if you love me or not.”

All of Me, by Shannon O’Connor is a collection of romantic and self-love poems. It’s about how hard it is to love yourself and how easy it can be to love others. Whether you are in love, have loved, love yourself, or need a reminder this collection of poetry has something for you.

Although it’s just under the 100-page mark, it’s a short and sweet collection of poetry. It’s a pleasant read with engaging romantic poems, and resonating self-love pieces that will get the reader thinking whether or not they are serving themselves in their life.

As the book progresses, it’s clear to see compared to her other books I’ve reviewed that Shannon has stepped out of her comfort zone from being comfortable and an excellent writer of sad and heartbreak poems, to now exploring love of all kinds. Self-love is a forever on-going experience many must explore. With emotive storytelling, All of Me, is truly an outstanding collection of poetry by Shannon.

Shannon O’Connor is a twenty something bisexual self published poet of 9 books and counting. She enjoys coffee, reading, traveling, spending time with her baby and taking photos. She just published her debut novel, Electric Love and is currently working on several short stories.
