Music Feature: Tone Du Shane

Wanting to give the world his take on life, Tone Du Shane has always been a fan of good music of any genre. One day, he bought a Roland DR-5, and from there he began making beats.

When questioned who or what are his musical influences, Tone Du Shane responds, "influences, hmm, everybody authentic,” going on to mention that there's not many genres of music he doesn’t like, “I don’t absorb except polka music, because polka music is dumpster juice.”

To date, Tone Du Shane has recorded over 20 songs professionally and is getting ready to begin releasing said music.

Noting on his songwriting, “It all starts as I’m making the beat, once I catch the vibe of what the song is saying I’m dialed in at that point the song pretty much writes itself.”

First up, Tone Du Shane’s brand-new single 'Therapy' is a laid back song about toxic relationships and how they make you feel like you could use some therapy. "It’s about trials and tribulations in a relationship," he comments.

Wanting the listener to go away thinking about their special person and how to grow closer to them, Tone Du Shane's music is a force to be reckoned with.

During the global pandemic of COVID-19 as the period of time struck a lot of avenues, the music industry took a hard hit. Tone Du Shane comments on this experience, “During the pandemic the isolation has allowed us to really look inside of ourselves and express our feelings more accurately.”

What drives Tone Du Shane forward as an artist is his genuine love for the art form and a general disdain for how watered down music is now.

Tone Du Shane's plan for 2022 is to drop new music every fourth of every month to bring out some unknown talent.
